Target Information
CD276 (B7-H3) is a member of the B7 family of co-stimulatory molecules. It is a type I transmembrane protein that promotes proliferation of CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells, enhances cytotoxic T cell generation, and selectively stimulates interferon gamma production. Expression can be induced on dendritic cells and monocytes by inflammatory cytokines and is widely found in tissues such as heart, kidney, testis, and colon. In humans, two isoforms exist due to gene duplication and differential splicing. CD276 has potential therapeutic relevance in regulating cell-mediated immune responses in cancer, particularly with anti-angiogenic therapy.
