Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45496 was sufficient for detection of KCC2 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 140 kDa.
This antibody was formerly sold as clone S1-12.
Target Information
KCC2 mediates electroneutral potassium-chloride cotransport in mature neurons. Transport occurs under isotonic conditions but is activated 20-fold by cell swelling. It plays an important role in Cl⁻ homeostasis in neurons.
