Target Information

GBP1 (Guanlyate Binding Protein 1) is a 68 kDa GTPase and member of the GTPase1 family.
Its expression is induced by interferon-γ and inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1α, IL-1β, and TNF-α.
GBP1 induction by poly I:C and dependency on NF-κB and IFNα response elements indicate TLR pathway involvement.
GBP1 expression inversely correlates with MMP-1 and other molecules related to adhesion and migration, showing its role in suppressing angiogenesis and migration, particularly in endothelial cells.
As a regulatory molecule, GBP1 is centrally involved in signal transduction of inflammatory and cell migration networks.
