For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Beta-catenin is an adherens junction (AJ) protein involved in cell-cell adhesion and regulation of epithelial layer formation. It interacts with E-cadherin and alpha-catenin to anchor the E-cadherin complex to the actin cytoskeleton. Beta-catenin also associates with cytoskeletal complexes containing adenomatous polyposis coli protein and microtubules, participating in signaling pathways such as Wnt/Wingless.
It is expressed in various hair follicle cell types and epithelial cells, and plays a role in tumorigenesis of tissues including colon, liver, lung, and skin. In the nucleus, it co-activates Lef/Tcf transcription factors that regulate genes promoting cell proliferation (e.g., cyclin D, c-myc).
