MMP23B (matrix metallopeptidase 23B), also known as MMP21 or MMP22, is a regulator in matrix remodeling. It may play a role in endochondral bone formation and cranial suture closure.
MMP23B has three isoforms (44 kDa, 46 kDa, 48 kDa) produced by alternative splicing and can be N-glycosylated.
