Target Information
P-selectin (Selectin P, GMP-140, LECAM3, CD62 antigen-like family member)는 140 kDa의 type I transmembrane glycoprotein으로, 세포 구름(cell rolling)을 조절하는 주요 단백질 중 하나입니다.
이 단백질은 내피세포의 Weibel-Palade bodies와 혈소판의 α-granules에 저장되어 있으며, thrombin, histamine, complement 5a, Ca²⁺ ionophores, adenosine diphosphate 등의 자극에 의해 빠르게 세포 표면으로 이동합니다.
활성화된 혈소판과 내피세포가 백혈구와 상호작용할 때 중요한 역할을 하며, sialylated Lewis 혈액형 탄수화물 항원에 결합하는 칼슘 의존성 수용체입니다.
염증 과정에서 지속적으로 발현되며, 죽상동맥경화증, 혈전증, 조직 손상에 기여합니다.
임상적으로는 혈전증 유무에 따른 헤파린 유도 혈소판감소증 구분에 활용됩니다.
