Product Specific Information
MA1-7634 detects CD20 from human and mouse samples.
It has been successfully used in ELISA, IF, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry (frozen) procedures.
The immunogen is a CD20 protein.
Store at 4ºC short term and -80ºC long term.
Target Information
CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein with a molecular weight of 33–37 kDa depending on phosphorylation status.
It is expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, a subset of T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells.
CD20 regulates transmembrane calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation.
It associates with lipid rafts and interacts with BCR (B cell antigen receptor) upon activation.
CD20 serves as a key therapeutic target for antibody-mediated B-cell depletion, as it remains on the cell surface without internalization or shedding after monoclonal antibody binding.
Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
