Target Information
TEF1 (Transcriptional enhancer factor 1)은 TEA/ATTS 도메인 패밀리에 속하는 핵 단백질로, 다양한 세포 유형에서 발현되며 여러 유전자의 발현 조절에 관여합니다.
TEF 패밀리 구성원은 보존된 DNA 결합 도메인을 가지며, TEF-1은 GT-IIC, SphI/II, M-CAT 서열에 결합합니다.
또한 transforming growth factor-alpha의 proximal regulatory element(PRE)에 결합하여 암 관련 유전자의 발현 조절에 관여합니다.
TEF-1은 PKC에 의해 in vitro 및 in vivo에서 인산화되며, 이는 DNA 결합 능력을 감소시켜 PKC 억제에 관여할 가능성을 시사합니다.
또한 TEF-1은 tumor antigen(TAg)과 복합체를 형성하여 종양 발생에도 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
TEF-1의 이합체화는 전사 조절자로서의 기능에 중요할 수 있습니다.
