Target Information
TRPS1 encodes a transcription factor that represses GATA-regulated genes and binds to a dynein light chain protein. Binding to the dynein light chain affects GATA consensus sequence binding and suppresses transcriptional activity. Mutations in this gene cause tricho-rhino-phalangeal syndrome (TRPS) types I–III.
