Target Information
PRMT1은 protein arginine N-methyltransferase (PRMT) 패밀리에 속하는 효소로, RNA 처리 및 수송, 수용체 매개 신호전달, 전사 조절 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에 관여하는 불가역적 아르기닌 메틸화 반응을 수행합니다.
포유류 세포에서 최소 3가지 유형의 PRMT 효소가 확인되었으며, 핵 단백질, IL enhancer binding factor, 세포주기 단백질, 신호전달 단백질, apoptosis 단백질, 바이러스 단백질 등의 메틸화를 통해 필수적인 조절 기능을 수행합니다.
PRMT1의 발현 증가는 다양한 암 유형에서 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
