Target Information

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are conserved pattern-recognition molecules that mediate antimicrobial responses. They recognize microbial products and link innate and adaptive immunity. TLRs activate kinases and transcription factors through adaptor molecules such as TOLLIP, MyD88, and TRIF.
TOLLIP associates with TLR2 and TLR4, acting as an inhibitor of TLR activation and regulating proinflammatory mediator production during infection and inflammation.
