Target Information
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins.
Accepts ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme and transfers it to targeted substrates.
Involved in JUN and p53 (TP53) ubiquitination and degradation, abolishing p53-dependent transcription and apoptosis.
Functions as the essential RING domain subunit of larger E3 complexes.
Also involved in degradation of 14-3-3 protein sigma/SFN and MTA1, and ubiquitination of CEBPA upon TRIB1 binding.
