Target Information
Required for efficient transcription initiation by RNA polymerase I.
Essential for formation of the competent preinitiation complex (PIC).
Dissociates from RNA polymerase I as a consequence of transcription.
In vitro, cannot activate transcription in a subsequent transcription reaction.
