Product Specific Information

This antibody does not cross-react with other carcinogen-DNA adducts.
Suggested positive control: human HepG2 liver samples.

Target Information

Aflatoxin is a naturally occurring mycotoxin produced by Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus.
Aspergillus flavus is common in nature and found in grains grown under stress conditions such as drought. The mold thrives in soil, decaying vegetation, hay, and deteriorating grains under high moisture and temperature.
At least 13 types of aflatoxin exist, with aflatoxin B1 being the most toxic. The presence of Aspergillus flavus indicates potential aflatoxin production.
