Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody HP-F1 recognizes CD85j (ILT2, LILRB1, LIR1), a member of the ILT/LIR/MIR receptor family. CD85j is a single transmembrane glycoprotein with four ITIM motifs that signal via SHP-1 interactions. It is expressed on myeloid cells (monocytes, dendritic cells) and subsets of NK, T, and B lymphocytes. Expression correlates with leukemias such as ALL and CLL and plays roles in viral infections including HIV, EBV, and CMV. Ligands include MHC Class I molecules (HLA-G, A, F, B27, E, F).

HP-F1 antibody reduces CD16-dependent cytolytic activity of NK cells.
Reported applications include flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test. One test corresponds to staining in a 100 µL final volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

eFluor 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue™, excited at 405 nm and emitting at 445 nm. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Target Information

This gene belongs to the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family located in the 19q13.4 region. The encoded receptor contains multiple extracellular Ig domains, a transmembrane domain, and ITIM motifs that mediate inhibitory signaling upon binding MHC class I molecules. It regulates immune cell activation, inflammatory responses, and cytotoxicity to maintain immune balance. Multiple isoforms exist.
