Target Information
BRCA1-associated protein-1 (BAP1)은 BRCA1의 RING finger 도메인과 상호작용하는 단백질로, N-말단 240 아미노산은 ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase (UCH)와 상동성을 가집니다.
BAP1은 산성 영역, 고전하 C-말단 영역, 2개의 핵 내 위치 신호를 포함하며, BRCA1과 함께 세포 내에서 공발현 및 핵 내에서 부분적으로 중첩된 분포를 보입니다.
BAP1은 BRCA1 매개 유방암 세포 성장 억제를 강화하며, 다양한 인체 조직에서 4 kb mRNA 형태로 발현됩니다.
BAP1 유전자는 3p21.3에 위치하며, 이 영역은 유방암 및 폐암에서 이형접합성 상실이 자주 관찰되는 부위로 보고됩니다.
BAP1은 BRCA1 성장 조절 경로에서 종양 억제 유전자로 기능할 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
