Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Mammalian serine hydroxymethyltransferase (SHMT) is a tetrameric, pyridoxal phosphate (PLP)-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the reversible interconversion of serine and tetrahydrofolate to glycine and methylenetetrahydrofolate.
SHMT1 functions in the cytoplasm, while SHMT2 operates in mitochondria.
cSHMT preferentially contributes one-carbon units for thymidylate biosynthesis, affects methylenetetrahydrofolate pools for SAM synthesis, and modulates folate metabolism.
