Target Information
Inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor (ITI, I-alpha-I) 단백질군은 단백질-당단백 복합체(PGP)의 전형적인 예로, 혈장 내 높은 농도로 존재합니다. 세 가지 무거운 사슬(Heavy chain)과 공통 경사슬인 bikunin proteoglycan이 결합하여 형성됩니다.
Bikunin은 두 개의 단백질분해효소 억제 도메인을 가지며, trypsin, leukocyte elastase, plasmin에 대한 억제 활성을 나타냅니다. Heavy chain은 단백질분해효소 억제 기능은 없지만, hyaluronic acid와 결합하여 세포외기질(extracellular matrix)의 안정성을 높입니다.
ITI 단백질군은 세포외기질 생물학에서 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
