Target Information
LIMK2는 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로, cofilin 인산화를 통해 actin 세포골격 변화를 조절하는 역할을 합니다. 또한 뇌 발달에도 관여하며, LIM motif는 단백질 간 상호작용을 매개합니다. LIM kinase-1과 LIM kinase-2는 2개의 N-말단 LIM motif와 C-말단 단백질 키나아제 도메인을 가지는 소수 아형에 속합니다. LIMK2는 ROCK에 의해 인산화 및 활성화되며, cofilin을 인산화하여 actin 탈중합 활성을 억제합니다. 이 경로는 Rho에 의해 유도되는 actin 세포골격 재구성에 기여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. LIMK2는 서로 다른 이소폼을 암호화하는 최소 3개의 전사 변이를 가집니다.
