Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The SSX5 gene encodes a member of the synovial sarcoma X (SSX) breakpoint protein family, which may act as transcriptional repressors. These proteins can elicit humoral and cellular immune responses in cancer patients and are potential targets for cancer vaccine-based immunotherapy.
Unlike other SSX genes involved in t(X;18)(p11.2;q11.2) translocations typical of synovial sarcomas, SSX5 does not appear to participate in these translocations. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
