Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The exact function of the MMACHC protein is not fully understood. Its C-terminal region shows similarity to TonB, a bacterial protein involved in energy transduction for cobalamin (vitamin B12) uptake. It is postulated that MMACHC may play a role in the binding and intracellular trafficking of cobalamin.
Mutations in this gene are associated with methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria type cblC.
