Product Specific Information

The M1/70 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11b (integrin alphaM, 165–170 kDa). CD11b associates with CD18 to form the alphaMbeta2 integrin (Mac-1), binding to CD54 (ICAM-1), C3bi, and fibrinogen. It is expressed by macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and mouse B-1 cells. M1/70 also cross-reacts with human CD11b, enabling detection in human monocytes, granulocytes, and NK cell subsets.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test with mouse splenocytes or bone marrow cells.
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM) is a 165 kDa adhesion molecule that forms a heterodimer with CD18 (integrin beta-2), known as Mac-1 or CR3. It is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, and microglia. CD11b/CD18 binds ICAM-1, ICAM-2, ICAM-4, CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X, mediating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. Expression varies by cell type and tissue, and increases during monocyte maturation.
