Product Specific Information
- For Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
The Major Vault Protein (MVP) gene encodes a lung resistance-related protein. Vaults are multi-subunit structures potentially involved in nucleo-cytoplasmic transport. MVP mediates drug resistance, possibly through a transport process, and is widely distributed in normal tissues. It is overexpressed in multidrug-resistant cancer cells, making it a useful marker for clinical drug resistance. Two transcripts are produced using alternative exon 2 sequences, sharing identical open reading frames.
