LLGL1은 초파리의 종양 억제 단백질과 유사한 단백질로, 세포골격 네트워크의 일부이며 비근육성 미오신 II 중쇄 및 특정 세린 잔기를 인산화하는 키나아제와 관련되어 있습니다. LLGL1 유전자는 염색체 17의 Smith-Magenis 증후군 영역에 위치합니다.
LLGL2는 초파리의 lethal (2) giant larvae 단백질과 유사하며, 인간에서는 aPKC 복합체와 상호작용하며 유사분열 세포의 피질에 국소화됩니다.
