Target Information
Vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP)는 신경 보호 인자로서 일부 종양 세포의 성장을 자극하거나 억제하는 효과를 가집니다.
ADNP 유전자는 VIP에 의해 상향 조절되며, 특정 종양 세포에서의 자극 효과에 관여할 수 있습니다.
이 단백질은 하나의 홈박스와 아홉 개의 zinc finger 도메인을 포함하며, 전사 인자로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다.
또한 정상 증식 조직에서도 발현이 증가하며, p53 활성 조절을 통해 특정 세포 유형의 생존력을 증가시킬 수 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 보고되어 있으며 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
