Target Information
Septin 2는 필라멘트를 형성하는 세포골격 GTPase로, actin 세포골격의 정상적인 조직 유지에 필수적입니다. 이 단백질은 극성화된 상피세포의 형성에 관여하며, polyglutamylated 미세소관을 유지하여 효율적인 소포 수송을 돕고, tubulin에 대한 MAP4 결합을 방해합니다. 또한 유사분열 진행에 필요하며, 방추체 중간면에서 scaffold를 형성하여 CENPE의 kinetochore 위치를 유지하고 염색체 배열을 조절합니다. 분열 후반기에는 염색체 분리와 방추체 신장을 위해 필요할 수 있습니다. Septin 2는 섬모형성과 집단적 세포 이동에도 중요한 역할을 합니다.
