Plasminogen activator A (PauA)는 Streptococcus uberis의 단백질로, Staphylokinase/Streptokinase 계열 단백질과 유사한 기능을 가집니다. S. uberis는 젖소 유방염의 주요 원인균으로, 젖샘 내 염증을 유발하여 낙농 산업에 심각한 경제적 손실을 초래합니다. PauA는 소 및 양의 plasminogen을 활성화하며, 약 30 kDa의 분자량을 가집니다. PauA에 의한 plasminogen 활성화는 젖샘 내 영양분 방출을 촉진하여 세균의 초기 정착을 돕는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
