Target Information
The tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily consists of several type I integral membrane glycoproteins with cystine-rich extracellular domains. Members include TNF-RI, TNF-RII, and CD40. Ligands such as TNF or CD40L can activate these receptors, leading to NFkB nuclear translocation. TRAF family proteins (TRAF1–TRAF4) are involved in this signaling. TRAF4, also known as CART1, is specifically expressed in breast carcinomas and localized to the nucleus.
