Target Information
TNK2 (ACK1) is an activated Cdc42-associated kinase, a non-receptor tyrosine kinase involved in tumorigenesis and metastasis, particularly in prostate cancer.
It mediates CDC42-dependent cell migration via phosphorylation of BCAR1 and plays roles in synaptic function and brain development.
ACK1 activates AKT1 by phosphorylation on Tyr-176 and phosphorylates AR (Tyr-267, Tyr-363), WWOX (Tyr-287), and MCF2, enhancing GEF activity toward Rho proteins.
It regulates AXL receptor levels and contributes to cancer cell metastasis by modulating tumor suppressors and pro-survival factors.
