Target Information
Phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC)는 수용체 매개 신호전달의 시작에서 중요한 역할을 하며, phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate로부터 inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate와 diacylglycerol이라는 두 가지 세컨드 메신저를 생성합니다.
PLC에는 여러 이소효소(PLC beta1, beta2, beta3, beta4, gamma1, gamma2, delta1, delta2, PLCe 등)가 존재합니다.
PLC delta1은 칼슘 신호 증폭기로서 비전형적 GTP 결합 단백질에 의해 활성화되며, 특정 수용체 신호전달의 효과기 역할을 합니다.
PLC delta는 알츠하이머병 환자 뇌에서 비정상적으로 축적되어 병리적 역할을 할 가능성이 있으며, PLC delta2는 위암 및 장상피화 생검에서 발현되어 종양 전이의 표지자로 연구됩니다.
