This antibody detects endogenous levels of total RNF14 protein.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene contains a RING zinc finger motif involved in protein-protein interactions. It interacts with the androgen receptor (AR) and may function as a coactivator inducing AR target gene expression in the prostate. A dominant negative mutant has been shown to inhibit AR-mediated prostate cancer growth. The protein also interacts with class III ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s) and may act as a ubiquitin-ligase (E3) for certain nuclear proteins. Five alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been reported.
