APLNR (Apelin Receptor)는 G 단백질 결합 수용체 유전자 패밀리에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 안지오텐신 수용체와 관련이 있지만, 실제로는 아펠린 수용체로서 adenylate cyclase 활성을 억제하고 안지오텐신 II의 혈압 상승 작용에 반대되는 조절 역할을 합니다. 심혈관 및 중추신경계, 포도당 대사, 배아 및 종양 혈관형성, HIV-1 coreceptor로 기능합니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 두 가지 전사 변형체가 확인되었습니다.
