• Reconstitute antibody with 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW).
• Store reconstituted solution at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Neurofascin encodes an L1 family immunoglobulin cell adhesion molecule with multiple IGcam and fibronectin domains.
It functions in:

• Neurite outgrowth and fasciculation
• Organization of the axon initial segment (AIS) and nodes of Ranvier during early development

Both AIS and nodes of Ranvier contain high densities of voltage-gated Na⁺ (Nav) channels clustered by interactions with cytoskeletal and scaffolding proteins such as gliomedin, ankyrin 3 (ankyrin-G), and βIV spectrin.
Neurofascin links the AIS extracellular matrix to the intracellular cytoskeleton and undergoes extensive alternative splicing; some full-length variants remain undetermined.
