Target Information
Anti-human Polynucleotide Kinase (PNK) antibody recognizes a 57 kDa nuclear enzyme involved in DNA strand repair during replication, recombination, or in response to DNA damage. PNK catalyzes phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of DNA termini (5′-hydroxy and 3′-phosphate), facilitating the actions of DNA polymerase-beta and DNA ligase III. It plays a critical role in maintaining genomic stability in human cells.
