Claudin-1은 세포 간 tight junction에 위치한 transmembrane 단백질 패밀리인 claudins의 구성원으로, HCV가 간세포에 침투할 때 co-receptor로 작용합니다. Claudins는 상피세포의 극성을 유지하며, Claudin-1은 방광, 난관, 간, 췌장, 전립선, 피부 등 다양한 조직에서 발현됩니다.
