The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
NDUFS5 (NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 5) is a subunit of mitochondrial complex I, located in the mitochondrial inner membrane. Complex I is the first and largest enzyme in the electron transport chain, responsible for oxidizing NADH and transferring electrons to ubiquinone, initiating oxidative phosphorylation. Defects in complex I subunits are associated with various myopathies and neuropathies. NDUFS5 is a 106 amino acid protein expressed in many human tissues, with higher expression in heart, skeletal muscle, liver, kidney, and fetal heart.
