Target Information

NEDD4L is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that transfers ubiquitin from an E2 enzyme to target substrates. It inhibits TGF-beta signaling by promoting ubiquitination and degradation of SMAD2 and TGFR1. NEDD4L also regulates internalization and degradation of various plasma membrane channels such as ENaC, Nav1.2–1.8, Kv1.3, EAAT1, and CLC5, and promotes degradation of SGK.
