Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of total LTK protein.
Target Information
LTK (leukocyte tyrosine kinase), along with TYK1, ALK, and Ros, belongs to the receptor tyrosine kinase family showing sequence similarity to the insulin receptor subfamily.
LTK is expressed in murine B-lymphocyte precursors and forebrain neurons.
ALK is highly expressed in the nervous system, and its truncated form containing the catalytic domain is associated with certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas.
The c-Ros gene, originally identified as an oncogene, is expressed in epithelial cells and may play a role in epithelial development.
