RSPO1 유전자는 R-spondin 패밀리에 속하며, 두 개의 cysteine-rich furin-like 도메인과 하나의 thrombospondin type 1 도메인을 가진 분비 활성 단백질을 암호화합니다. 마우스에서 이 단백질은 crypt 세포 증식을 빠르게 유도하고 장상피 치유를 촉진하여 화학요법 유발 부작용으로부터 보호 효과를 제공합니다.
