Target Information
Collagen I은 두 개의 α1 사슬과 하나의 α2 사슬로 구성된 삼중 나선 구조의 Type I collagen입니다. 대부분의 결합 조직에서 발견되며, 뼈, 각막, 진피, 힘줄 등에 풍부하게 존재합니다.
COL1A2 유전자의 변이는 골형성부전증(I–IV형), Ehlers-Danlos 증후군(VIIB형 및 Classical형), 특발성 골다공증, 비전형적 Marfan 증후군과 관련이 있습니다.
COL1A2 유전자 변이에 의한 증상은 COL1A1 변이보다 경미한 경향이 있으며, 이는 α2 사슬의 기질 구조 유지 역할의 차이에 기인합니다.
또한 17번과 22번 염색체 간 상호 전좌는 Collagen Type I 유전자와 혈소판 유래 성장인자 β 유전자의 비정상적 발현을 유도하여, 피부 종양인 dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans와 연관될 수 있습니다.
두 가지 전사체(transcript)는 대체 polyadenylation 신호 사용으로부터 생성된 것으로 확인되었습니다.
