Target Information
KLHL25 (ectoderm-neural cortex protein 2, ENC2) is a cytoplasmic protein containing six Kelch regions and a single BTB (POZ) domain.
It is highly homologous to ENC1 and functions similarly to other Kelch-domain proteins that modulate actin fibers.
Expressed early in embryogenesis, ENC1 mediates neuronal process formation and contributes to neural crest cell differentiation.
KLHL25 likely acts as a substrate-specific adapter for protein ubiquitination complexes and is expressed in most tissues, with highest expression in brain and liver.
