Target Information
CD36 (Scavenger receptor class B member 3)는 대식세포, 혈소판, 지방세포 등 다양한 세포 표면에 발현되는 단백질입니다. 지질 대사, 염증, 동맥경화 과정에 관여하며, 산화 저밀도 지단백, 장쇄 지방산, 세포사멸 세포 등의 리간드 인식 및 섭취에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 말라리아 병리 과정에도 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 혈소판 및 다양한 세포에서 thrombospondin 수용체로 작용하며, 혈소판 표면의 주요 당단백질 중 하나입니다. 콜라겐, thrombospondin, 음전하 인지질, 산화 LDL과 결합하며, Plasmodium falciparum 기생 적혈구의 부착을 직접 매개합니다. CD36 유전자의 변이는 혈소판 당단백 결핍증을 유발할 수 있으며, 여러 대체 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었습니다. 관련 질환으로는 Platelet Glycoprotein IV Deficiency 및 Coronary Heart Disease 7이 있습니다.
