Target Information

Sulfotransferase 효소는 다양한 호르몬, 신경전달물질, 약물 및 이종화합물의 황산화 결합을 촉매합니다. 이 효소들은 세포질 내에 존재하며, 조직 분포와 기질 특이성이 다릅니다.
SULT1C2는 SULT1 하위 패밀리에 속하며, PAPS로부터 phenol 함유 화합물에 sulfo기를 전달합니다.
특히 hydroxyarylamines에 대한 특이성을 가지며, p-nitrophenol 및 N-hydroxy-2-acetylaminofluorene의 황산화를 촉매하지만 dopamine에는 작용하지 않습니다.
