Target Information
CD24 is a two-chain glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein expressed at multiple stages of B-cell development, from pro-B-cells in bone marrow through mature surface Ig-positive B-cells. Expression is low or absent in plasma cells. CD24 is also found in most B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias, B-cell CCLs, and B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. It may play a role in B-cell proliferation, maturation, and regulation of autoimmunity.
