Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
ALAS2 encodes an erythroid-specific mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the first step in the heme biosynthetic pathway.
Defects in this gene cause X-linked pyridoxine-responsive sideroblastic anemia.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
