Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising about 10% of surface proteins in lymphocytes. It is absent on non-hematopoietic cells and tissues. CD45 regulates Src-family kinases and is essential for T- and B-cell receptor signaling, cytokine receptor modulation, and integrin-mediated signal transduction. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. CD45 plays a role in lymphocyte development, antigen signaling, and apoptosis regulation.
