Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse LRIG1 and less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human LRIG3 is observed.
- Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
Target Information
LRIG1 protein (UniProt ID: Q96JA1) is encoded by a gene located on chromosome band 3p14.3, a region often deleted in various human cancers. LRIG1 is considered a tumor suppressor gene in humans.
This integral cell-surface membrane protein is expressed in specific human tissues, with a 143-kDa form that may be cleaved into 111-kDa and 32-kDa fragments.
LRIG1 may inhibit the growth of glial cell tumors, and down-regulation of LRIG1 expression may contribute to tumor development and progression.
