Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).


Target Information

Action potentials in vertebrate neurons are followed by an afterhyperpolarization (AHP) that may persist for several seconds and affect neuronal firing patterns.
Each AHP component is kinetically distinct and mediated by different calcium-activated potassium channels.
The KCNN2-encoded protein contributes to the slow component of synaptic AHP and regulates neuronal excitability.
It forms a voltage-independent calcium-activated channel with calmodulin-binding subunits.
KCNN2 belongs to the KCNN family of potassium channel genes, with two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
