Target Information

GABRA5는 포유류 뇌에서 주요 억제성 신경전달물질인 GABA의 일부로, 리간드 개폐성 염화 이온 채널인 GABA-A 수용체에서 작용합니다. 이 채널의 염화 전도는 벤조디아제핀과 같은 GABA-A 수용체 결합 물질에 의해 조절될 수 있습니다. GABA-A 수용체에는 최소 16개의 서로 다른 서브유닛이 존재하며, 세 가지 대체 비번역 첫 엑손을 이용하는 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
