This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) (A2) Fusion glycoprotein (RSV-F).
Target Information
Human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) belongs to the Paramyxoviridae family, subfamily Pneumovirinae, and causes common respiratory tract infections such as measles and mumps.
Its genome is a single-stranded, negative-sense RNA encoding three envelope glycoproteins:
- Small hydrophobic (SH) protein (unknown function)
- Major glycoprotein (G, attachment protein)
- Fusion (F) protein
The 63 kDa RSV fusion protein of the RSS 2 strain (subtype A) mediates viral and cellular membrane fusion, allowing viral penetration and cell-to-cell fusion, forming syncytia (multinucleated giant cells).
Its name derives from this fusion activity that merges infected and neighboring cells.
While RSV generally causes mild symptoms in adults, it is a leading cause of lower respiratory tract infections and hospitalizations in infants and young children.
